Basketball Recap: Spartanburg Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Spartanburg Vikings were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-67 to the Greenville Red Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (59), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Spartanburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Greenville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

When Spartanburg and Greenville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Spartanburg will try to stop Dorman's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greenville will take on Greenwood and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
