Basketball Recap: 19 Straight Home Wins for Berean Academy

Berean Academy entered their tilt with Temple Baptist Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 61-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-50 back in December of 2024.

Berean Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Wigginton, who went 7 of 13 to rack up 17 points in addition to six steals and five assists. What's more, Wigginton also posted a 54% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cody Stansifer, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Wigginton wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Berean Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temple Baptist Academy only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Temple Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Noah Mueller, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. Mueller's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Weber, who posted nine points.

Berean Academy's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Temple Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
