Soccer Recap: South Lake Comes Up Short

South Lake lost against Springstead back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Lake Eagles took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springstead Eagles. South Lake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Savannah Reichl wasn't going to let Springstead walk away unscathed as she scored both of South Lake's goals, bringing her season total up to 12 goals.

South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Springstead, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the South Lake challenge the Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Springstead and Mitchell will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
