Softball Recap: Plato Comes Up Short

Ava hit Plato with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell just short of the Bears by a score of 8-7.

Maci Shalbot was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Chloe Cook, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Plato's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Plato didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-12 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 20th. Hopefully Ava paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
