Soccer Game Preview: Apache Junction vs. Globe

The Apache Junction Prospectors will head out to challenge the Globe Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Apache Junction is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Monday, they were much more limited against San Tan Foothills on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to the Sabercats.

Meanwhile, Globe fell victim to Benjamin Franklin and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 9-0. The loss continues a trend for Globe in their meetings with Benjamin Franklin: they've now lost eight in a row.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Apache Junction got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January of 2025 against Globe by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Prospectors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
