Volleyball Recap: Xavier Falls Short Against Ranked Oconomowoc

Xavier faced Oconomowoc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hawks fell 2-0 to the Raccoons. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Raccoons when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rose Kendall paced Xavier's offense, picking up three kills. Kendall got some help from Sydney Neilitz and her three assists. Lily Renz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Xavier's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Oconomowoc, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

Xavier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Winneconne on the 23rd. As for Oconomowoc, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Arrowhead on the 23rd.
