Soccer Game Preview: Holliston vs. Framingham

The Holliston Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Framingham Flyers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Holliston's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matches.

Holliston's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Bellingham with a sharp 8-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Holliston's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Bellingham are ranked 226th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Framingham sidestepped Lexington for a 1-0 victory.

Holliston's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Framingham, their win bumped their record up to 6-0-6.

Holliston suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Framingham when the teams last played back in September of 2016. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
