Basketball Game Preview: Samuel Fels Panthers vs. Academy at Palumbo Griffin

The Samuel Fels Panthers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Academy at Palumbo Griffin at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Samuel Fels came up short against Roxborough and fell 41-34. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy at Palumbo). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Mastery Charter North - Pickett 64-25. The Griffin have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 32 points or more this season.

Samuel Fels better keep an eye on Aisha Muibi. She was instrumental in Academy at Palumbo's win, putting up 29 points. With that strong performance, Muibi is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Beatrix Kaeli, who posted nine points.

Academy at Palumbo's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Samuel Fels, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Samuel Fels might still be hurting after the 51-25 loss they got from Academy at Palumbo in their previous matchup back in January of 2015. Can Samuel Fels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
