Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pendleton Heights

Pendleton Heights lost to Westfield back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Arabians snuck past the Shamrocks with a 60-56 victory. The game was the first time the Arabians have beaten the Shamrocks on their court since November 28, 2017.

Pendleton Heights had a senior duo take command as Cooper Sims went 10-for-15 to rack up 30 points and Hayden Fox shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. The game was Sims' eighth in a row with at least 15 points.

Several Shamrocks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Hunsucker, who posted ten points along with six steals and five boards. Another player making a difference was Brock Detamore, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 15 points.

The win (which was Pendleton Heights' third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.0 points this season. As for Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton Heights will take on Lapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westfield, they will square off against Zionsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Shamrocks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
