Softball Recap: Coppell Has No Trouble Against Horizon

Coppell saw some tournament action on Friday. They put the hurt on the Horizon Scorpions with a sharp 20-3 win.

Coppell let Courtney Hargrove and Natalie Yowell loose on the outfield. Hargrove went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Yowell went a perfect3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four runs gave Yowell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kimber Kerrigan, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

The victory got Coppell back to even at 1-1. As for Horizon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coppell's road trip will continue as they head out to face Willis at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Horizon, they will head out to take on Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
