Baseball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Elkhart Christian Academy had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-8 to make it six. They lost 15-5 to the Bremen Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Isaac Hurt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Gray Reynolds also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Bremen, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.

On Bremen's side, Aden Hunziker was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Hunziker has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zack Buszkiewicz, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Elkhart Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 defeat against Mishawaka on the 3rd. As for Bremen, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against LaVille on the 2nd.
