Basketball Game Preview: Elbert Bulldogs vs. Simla Cubs

Elbert is 1-6 against Simla since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Elbert Bulldogs will challenge the Simla Cubs at 6:30 p.m. Elbert will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

On Saturday, everything went Elbert's way against Bethune as Elbert made off with a 54-34 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Simla entered their tilt with McClave on Saturday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over the Cardinals.

Elbert pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for Simla, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Elbert was taken down by Simla 74-45 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Elbert avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
