Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends West-Oak's Winning Streak

West-Oak and Mountain View Prep squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but West-Oak had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Stars. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-13.

Emma Simpson paced West-Oak's offense, picking up seven kills. Simpson got some help from Ashton Sosby and her 19 assists. Maddie Harmon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mountain View Prep found their leader in sophomore Lexi Cheek, who had 16 digs and three aces.

West-Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Mountain View Prep, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-2.

West-Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain View Prep, they will square off against Powdersville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
