Waltrip put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Madison Marlins. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 12 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Danielle Ward, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Holley Chavez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and four RBI.

Waltrip's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Madison, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waltrip will challenge rival Sterling at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Madison is set to face off against their familiar foe Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
