Basketball Recap: Wellsville Takes a Loss

Wellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 68-61 to the Anderson County Bulldogs. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 70-63.

It was another big night for Noah Porter, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 14 boards for Anderson County. Porter's big performance that evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Brayden Wheat was another key player, to rack up 19 points.

Wellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Anderson County, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Wellsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-45 victory against Santa Fe Trail on the 21st. As for Anderson County, they have also already played their next match, a 69-39 win against Prairie View on the 21st.
