After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Franklin County finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Wesson Cobras, falling 11-1. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Wesson, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County's road trip will continue as they head out to face McComb at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Wesson, they will face off against Lawrence County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
