Mira Costa entered their tilt with Santa Margarita on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since August 22nd.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mira Costa got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 15-9.

Audrey Flanagan paced Mira Costa's offense, picking up 12 kills. Flanagan got some help from Milly McGee and her 27 assists.

Mira Costa's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Santa Margarita, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-9.

Mira Costa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bishop Montgomery on the 4th. As for Santa Margarita, they will host JSerra Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
