Softball Recap: Paramus Spartans vs. Bergen Tech Knights        
        
		
            
 After flying high against Fort Lee  last Wednesday, Paramus came back down to earth. The Paramus Spartans lost  10-2 to the Bergen Tech Knights on Monday. Paramus was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bergen Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2023.
 For Bergen Tech's part,  Shannon Quigley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Quigley was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nina Sarlo, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.  Samantha Lee was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Paramus has  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 13 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record  this season. As for Bergen Tech, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season.
 Paramus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bergen Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westampton Tech on Wednesday.
