Haralson County can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past the Model Blue Devils 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Blue Devils last Thursday, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.
Kirby Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Anna Lane Coy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Haralson County now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Model, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-5 record.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haralson County will host Armuchee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Model, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m.
