Haralson County can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past the Model Blue Devils 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Blue Devils last Thursday, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Kirby Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Anna Lane Coy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Haralson County now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Model, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haralson County will host Armuchee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rebels 3.2, the Indians 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Model, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m.
