Football Recap: Cole Cougars vs. Stockdale Brahmas
If Cole was riding high off their 56-19 takedown of San Antonio Memorial last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cole Cougars fell just short of the Stockdale Brahmas by a score of 24-21 on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Brahmas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.
Coy Gann was nothing short of spectacular for Stockdale: he rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Max Marroquin also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Cole's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stockdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cole will face off against San Antonio Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stockdale, they will challenge Falls City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
