Soccer Game Preview: Notre Dame vs. Arroyo Valley

The Notre Dame Titans will head out to challenge the Arroyo Valley Hawks at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Notre Dame has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Arroyo Valley will arrive with six straight wins.

Notre Dame is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Eisenhower on Wednesday. Notre Dame fell just short of Eisenhower by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Valley kept a clean sheet against Rim of the World on Friday. They blew past the Fighting Scots 7-0. Considering the Hawks have won 14 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Arroyo Valley has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 87 goals over those 16 matches. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-3.
