Football Recap: Enka Falls Despite Big Games from Tommy Mckinney and Logan Trantham + How To Watch

Enka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Asheville Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Cougars are ranked 154th).

Logan Trantham and Tommy McKinney certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Trantham rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown, while McKinney picked up 97 receiving yards and one score.

Enka didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cooper Greene, William Parham, and Jayden McElreath picked up one apiece.

Enka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Asheville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Enka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Asheville, they have already played their next contest, a 42-7 victory against Western Guilford on the 7th.
