Reno proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Valleys Panthers 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Reno were the better team in the second half.

Mateo Diaz and Lee Hill scored both of Reno's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Reno now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Valleys, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reno is set to square off against their familiar foe Reed at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Valleys will challenge rival Spanish Springs at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
