Volleyball Game Preview: Alhambra Lions vs. Central Bobcats + Official Tickets

Alhambra is 2-8 against Central since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Alhambra will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Alhambra had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Fairfax on Tuesday. The Lions blew past the Stampede 3-0.

Meanwhile, Central lost 3-0 to Cesar Chavez on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Champions: they've now lost four in a row.

Alhambra's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Alhambra was able to grind out a solid victory over Central when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
