Stratford has gone 6-1 against Cypress Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Stratford has given up an average of 30.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Stratford ended up a good deal behind Cypress Falls and lost 55-37. The Spartans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cody Hanlen, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Another pass catcher making a difference was Jake Weinhardt, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hanlen, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Cypress Ridge was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 24-13 to Jersey Village.

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Stratford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Stratford against Cypress Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-10 win. In that matchup, the Spartans amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
