Football Recap: Manteo Finds Playoff Glory Versus Northampton County

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Manteo had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northampton County Jaguars 36-8. Considering the Redskins have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Manteo had a senior duo take command as Finn Schultz rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries and Jaheem Banks rushed for 95 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

Manteo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Manteo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zay Williams and David Fisher.

Manteo's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Northampton County, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Manteo will square off against East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Redskins surely won't give up without a fight. Northampton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
