Recap: Newton-Conover vs. West Iredell
After a 7-2 finish the last time they played, the Newton-Conover Red Devils and the West Iredell Warriors decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Newton-Conover never let West Iredell onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Newton-Conover wouldn't have won without Andrea Ozuna, who scored the game-winner.
Newton-Conover now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for West Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Newton-Conover has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on March 12th. West Iredell will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Alexander Central at 6:15 p.m. on March 12th.
