Basketball Recap: Fallston Falls Despite Big Games from Michael Griffin Jr. and Aiden Robinson

If Fallston was feeling good fresh off their 65-36 takedown of Perryville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fallston Cougars fell 48-41 to the Bel Air Bobcats on Thursday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 71-52.

Despite the loss, Fallston had strong showings from Aiden Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, and Michael Griffin Jr., who went 7-for-17 to rack up 17 points. The dominant performance gave Griffin Jr. a new career-high in points.

Bel Air can attribute much of their success to Gage Shaw, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Rey, who put up 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Fallston's record now sits at 11-8. As for Bel Air, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.

Fallston has already played their next game, a 64-43 win against North Harford on the 10th. Bel Air has also already played their next matchup (against Perryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
