Softball Game Preview: Windthorst Trojans vs. Graford Rabbits

The Windthorst Trojans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Graford Rabbits at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windthorst will be strutting in after a victory while Graford will be coming in after a loss.

If Windthorst beats Graford with 13 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Windthorst was the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over City View on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Karissa Fillingim and Heidi Tackett did most of the damage at the plate: Fillingim scored four runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-4, while Tackett scored three runs and stole a base while going 5-for-5. Those three runs gave Tackett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Reese, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Graford lost 11-1 to Tioga on Saturday.

Graford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margaret Byrd, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Graford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Windthorst, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
