Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Harrison

It's playoff time, and Harrison had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Weehawken Indians by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Tide in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

While Harrison won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23.

Jonathan Petrillo paced Harrison's offense, picking up seven kills. Petrillo got some help from Jeremy Rivera and his 22 assists. Rivera was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Harrison pushed their record up to 28-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Weehawken, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Coming up, Harrison will welcome West Caldwell Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Blue Tide surely won't give up without a fight. Weehawken does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
