Baseball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

After flying high against Vista on Thursday, Westview came back down to earth. The Wolverines took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Logan Johnson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dimitri Sidiropoulos made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.
