Softball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Courtney Jernigan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Twin Valley South, their record is now 6-14.

Looking ahead, Belmont will square off against Thurgood Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twin Valley South, they will challenge Brookville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
