St. Benedict at Auburndale entered their tilt with Grenada on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chargers an 8-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Madison Young was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Sadie Quinteros, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Grenada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
