Oriskany waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Adirondack Wildcats by a score of 6-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Skyhawks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Eddie Wright made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Oriskany let Nick Hays and Sean Graziano run wild. Hays went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Graziano went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Matthew Kernan was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Oriskany's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Adirondack, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Oriskany will be playing in front of their home fans against Little Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Adirondack, they will head out to square off against Herkimer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
