Volleyball Recap: Rushville-Industry Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rushville-Industry was the 2-0 winner over Beardstown when they last played one another on October 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.

Rushville-Industry was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22.

Devin Vogler paced Rushville-Industry's offense, picking up nine kills. Vogler got some help from Player #4 and her 17 assists. Italee Ford controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Beardstown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ola Quigley out in front who had 14 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Quigley has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylynn Maltby, who had 11 digs.

Rushville-Industry now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Beardstown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-25.

Rushville-Industry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bushnell-Prairie City on the 22nd. As for Beardstown, they will face off against Brown County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
