If Caldwell was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Columbia on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Owyhee Storm on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Caldwell of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Caldwell's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3-2. As for Owyhee, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
