Nixa is 9-1 against Willard since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Nixa Eagles will take on the Willard Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Nixa will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Nixa strolled past Carthage with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willard). They put the hurt on Lebanon with a sharp 83-58 win on Thursday. With the Tigers ahead 53-27 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Nixa pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Willard, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Everything came up roses for Nixa against Willard in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-45 victory. Will Nixa repeat their success, or does Willard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
