Soccer Recap: Swan Valley Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, Swan Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Frankenmuth Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Swan Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Frankenmuth are ranked 48th).

Swan Valley's goal came courtesy of Ryder Stipanovich, who's now up to 21 this season.

Swan Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5-1 record this season. As for Frankenmuth, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Swan Valley will host Valley Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frankenmuth, they will head out to challenge Garber at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
