Softball Game Preview: Clyde Fliers vs. Norwalk Truckers

The Clyde Fliers will face off against the Norwalk Truckers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clyde comes in on eight and Norwalk on three.

Clyde is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Seneca East with a sharp 18-3 victory on Thursday. The Fliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Norwalk beat Sandusky 7-4 on Wednesday.

Clyde's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Norwalk, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Clyde came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwalk when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Fliers repeat their success, or do the Truckers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
