It was fun while it lasted, but Neshannock's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Grove City Eagles. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Neshannock fell to 7-1. As for Grove City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Neshannock and Grove City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Neshannock (ranked third) will meet South Side (ranked 394th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Grove City will take on General McLane at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday up 192 places (107 vs. 299).
