Baseball Recap: Glenbard South Wins Going Away Against Ridgewood

Glenbard South won the last time they faced Ridgewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Rebels. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Lucas Wilder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Nicky Louapre was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Tim Ewald was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Glenbard South's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Ridgewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbard South will venture away from home to square off against South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Ridgewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Aurora East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Tomcats at the right time seeing as the Tomcats are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
