Basketball Game Preview: Pine Ridge Panthers vs. Freedom Patriots

The Pine Ridge Panthers will take on the Freedom Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Freedom will be coming in after a defeat.

Pine Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Lake Brantley on Wednesday as Pine Ridge made off with a 68-43 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Serenity Cressor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 25 boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Murray, who posted 18 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards.

Pine Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against Oviedo on Tuesday, falling 56-30. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Pine Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
