Basketball Recap: Yorktown Tigers vs. Delta Eagles
Yorktown had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it four. They were dealt a 61-26 loss at the hands of the Delta Eagles. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.

Alexis Fields and Bella Chapman certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fields posted four points and six rebounds, while Chapman scored three points. Chapman is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Olivia Conklin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
As for Delta, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 61.0 points this season.
Jillian Barr produced another solid effort almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Ja'Niyah Johnson, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.
Yorktown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-40 defeat against Lapel on the 2nd. As for Delta, they will take on Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd.
