Basketball Recap: Africentric Early College Takes a Loss

After flying high against Briggs last Friday, Africentric Early College came back down to earth. The Africentric Early College Nubians fell 61-48 to the Northland Vikings on Saturday. If the Nubians were looking for revenge after losing 60-58 to them when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Africentric Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Northland, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Africentric Early College and Northland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Africentric Early College (ranked 85th) will meet Utica (ranked 647th) at 1:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Africentric Early College will be looking to extend their current 20-game winning streak. Similarly, Northland will take on Grand River Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 648 places (150 vs. 798). Africentric Early College is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
