Soccer Game Preview: American Christian Academy vs. Westminster School at Oak Mountain

American Christian Academy is 1-9 against Westminster School at Oak Mountain since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Patriots will head out to square off against the Knights at 3:00 p.m. American Christian Academy will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, American Christian Academy made easy work of Northside and carried off a 7-1 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

American Christian Academy hit Northside with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anna Robbins (4), Addison Golden (2), and Kaylee Shaw.

Meanwhile, Westminster School at Oak Mountain kept a clean sheet against Fultondale two weeks ago. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, who have now won four matches by seven goals or more so far this season.

American Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8-1.

American Christian Academy skirted past Westminster School at Oak Mountain 2-1 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
