Basketball Recap: Millikan Comes Up Short

Millikan lost against Lakewood on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Millikan Rams might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 90-79 to the Lakewood Lancers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Millikan's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Lakewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Millikan will be playing in front of their home fans against Cabrillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cabrillo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Millikan likes a good challenge. As for Lakewood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-50 victory against Woodrow Wilson on the 29th.
