Basketball Recap: Vandalia Christian Comes Up Short

Vandalia Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 74-52 to Gospel Light Christian. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Despite the loss, Vandalia Christian still got an impressive performance from Izzi Settle, who posted 21 points along with seven assists and four steals. The game was Settle's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Boody, who put up nine points and five assists.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Gospel Light Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Vandalia Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-67 loss against New Manna Christian on the 27th. As for Gospel Light Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-55 defeat against Union Grove Christian on the 27th.
