Baseball Recap: Shawnee Gets the Win

Shawnee came out on top against Seneca on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Renegades took their match against the Golden Eagles 8-3. That's more bragging rights for the Renegades, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Shawnee got a great performance from Drew Tenet as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The Renegades are 4-1 when Tenet allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Shawnee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Anderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Luke Whitmore was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Shawnee now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Seneca, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will welcome Cherry Hill East at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Seneca, they will be playing at home against Bishop Eustace Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
