Lynn Classical owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Medford Mustangs by a score of 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 on April 10th.

The result came thanks to Christian Figueroa's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ronal Brea was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Mark Walsh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Lynn Classical has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Medford, they moved to 6-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynn Classical will take on Saugus at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Medford, they will challenge Revere at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
