Soccer Game Preview: Pass Christian vs. West Harrison

The Pass Christian Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the West Harrison Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pass Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Bay last Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-1. The Pirates have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Pass Christian's goal came courtesy of Peyton Ladner, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, West Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to George County. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Rebels are ranked 21st).

Pass Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6-1. As for West Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-2.

Pass Christian took their victory against West Harrison in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pass Christian since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
